'I tried Tesco's new curry range but one item only hit the mark'There's nothing better than enjoying one of the nation's favourite food dishes. I got to try Pinch, a new food brand specialising in exciting Indian dishes. Pinch has just launched in Tesco where I got to try samples of the new food. The Pinch range takes inspiration from modern Indian fusion and street food to provide a delicious at-home alternative to a restaurant meal, without the high cost. Some of the dishes include, Sensational Saag Paneer & Coconut Basmati Rice, Rich Railway Lamb Curry & Coconut Basmati Rice, Flavour Flamin' Overloaded Chicken Tikka Naan and Magic Masala Spiced Chips & Pink Velvet Dip. The microwave meals are a quick and easy meal to enjoy at lunchtime or dinner and the curries all cost £4.50 each. Trying the Flavour Flamin' Overloaded Chicken Tikka Naan I was left feeling a little underwhelmed hoping it would pack a punch with the flavour. The Rich Railway Lamb Curry & Coconut Basmati Rice had plenty of depth in terms of flavour with the lamb tender and coconut rice adding a touch of sweetness to the dish. A highlight of the new range is the Magic Masala Spiced Chips & Pink Velvet Dip. For those love a spicy kick to their food this dish hit the spots and gives a playful twist to the potato dish. Pinch also do sides such as Pinch Bombaylicious Potato Bombs, Pinch Sizzle & Spice Chicken Tikka & Bombay Potatoes and Pinch Spiced Sweet Potato & Creamy Coconut Samosas which both cost £3 at the supermarket giant. Yet again, both of these lacked the flavour of traditional Indian cuisine. The stand out item of the bunch was Kickin’ Fried Chicken & Pink Velvet Dip which comes in at £3.75 at Tesco. The chicken was tender and delicious and just had the right amount of spice to satisfy the tastebuds. Source link Posted: 2024-10-14 06:44:17 |
