Brian May plays guitar for first time since stroke left his Queen future in doubt | Music | EntertainmentJust over a month ago, Sir Brian May shared the shocking news that he’d suffered a minor stroke, following a heart attack in 2020. The 77-year-old star temporarily lost control of his arm which left his Queen guitar playing days in doubt. At the time, he said: “The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days. ”And I say this because it was in some doubt, because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago, and what they called it was a minor stroke and all of a sudden out of the blue I didn't have any control of this arm. So it’s a little scary I have to say.” Now the Queen rocker has posted his return to guitar playing in his first time picking up the instrument in two months. Posting the footage on Instagram, Sir Brian wrote: “Me at the Red Special Convention out west of London Town on Saturday. Never been before. Wasn't too sure about going this time because I've been really low on energy --- but so glad I did. THANKS so much guys - you gave me so much love and a huge boost of confidence. Here I am explaining why I love VOX AC30's so much... showing what happens when you gradually turn up the input level - and a sharp glitter becomes a throaty roar - but without ever losing clarity. What you guys probably didn't know was that was the first time I've touched that guitar for 2 months. It's been a weird time ... Love to all - Bri.” Source link Posted: 2024-10-07 18:53:47 |
