Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reeling as 'pot of gold' spells disaster | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be left reeling as a "pot of gold" spells disaster for the pair,.

Simon Case recently announced that he was leaving his role as the head of Britain's civil service after four years, having previously held the role as Prince William's private secretary from July 2018.

Ephraim Hardcastle's column for the Daily Mail has now sparked speculation that Mr Case could write a book about his time working with the Royal Family - including what happened behind closed doors during the time that Meghan and Harry stepped back from duties.

It has been reported that he had signed a non-disclosure agreement and it has since been argued that this will only have applied to working with William - leaving him free reign to write about Harry and Meghan. Mr Hardcastle wrote: "While all courtiers are expected to be sphinx-like, Case could succumb to the pot of literary gold at the end of the royal rainbow."

This speculation comes amid reports that Meghan - who officially joined the Royal Family in May 2018 after marrying Harry in Windsor - is contemplating writing a memoir herself.
