Brian May announces ‘groundbreaking’ Queen release 50 years in the making | Music | EntertainmentToday marks a Queen release that’s half a century in the making, as announced by Sir Brian May today. The 77-year-old rock legend, held up a copy of The Night Comes Down and told fans on Instagram: “Hello folks, y’know I nearly forgot it’s been about 50 years since I wrote this song and finally it’s a single and it’s out today. “So, I will be very happy if you wanna buy it. I love the fact that it’s a physical single. You can touch it, you can put it on your record player. “It’s also available for download and I believe it’s the instant gratification if you order the [newly remixed and remastered] Queen I album. “But I don’t understand the record business anymore, so that’s all I can tell you.” Sir Brian continued: “This is a brand new mix of something I’m very proud of. It was recorded in the first sessions that we ever did as Queen with John completing the band… It’s called The Night Comes Down, it’s about… well it’s about dealing with your feelings I guess. Nice vocal from Freddie, beautiful drumming from Rog, handsome bass playing from John and I’m playing acoustic as a sort of lead instrument and using the electric guitar as a kind of orchestration in the background. So it was kind of groundbreaking. Enjoy!” He added: “I have loads and loads of things on my mind. Possibly more important things, I don’t know… but maybe later. God bless.” To order or listen The Night Comes Down and pre-order Queen I, which is released on October 25, click here. Source link Posted: 2024-10-05 00:09:01 |
