Foodies learn easy hack to juice lemons – and it's mess free

We all love a bit of culinary creativity in the kitchen, whipping up a storm, indulging in our favourite treats, or lending a hand with a dish.

But the last thing anyone wants is the sting of lemon acid in a cut or under our nails. Luckily, people on X, formerly Twitter, recently learned how you can juice a lemon – without making a mess.

The Today Years Old account, with a following of a million, recently posted a video demonstrating a man performing the no-mess technique while cooking.

In the caption, it read: "I was today years old when I found out about this, so to get some juice out of the lemon, do you see the toothpick? Just put it in there. Then when you've got the hole, you can just squeeze it." It's as simple as that...

The clip has since gone viral, racking up 1.5 million views, 1,200 retweets, and 12,000 likes, leaving many viewers astounded by the discovery.

One user remarked: "Tried it with an orange. Works great." Another exclaimed: "Crazy life hack," while a third said: "I was today years old as well."

A fourth queried: "How did I not know this? Fabulous." Another added their voice: "This just made my day. Less mess, less utensils, no seeds, clean hands... LOVE IT!"

Meanwhile, another quipped: "Did he just milk a lemon?" So next time you're juicing a lemon, consider trying out this clever tip.

Looking for more life hacks? Recently, people were left mind-blown after discovering a hidden feature on a special DIY key tool. A video explains this unique key is traditionally used in carpentry to drill round shapes into wood.

In the video, it shows the special key which is often used as a tool for drilling through wood. And in order to complete a perfect circle, you need the hole to allow you to draw the shape with ease.

It's basically like a compass you use for a maths lesson, but for a DIY job. Mind-blowing right? The clip demonstrates how it's beneficial for such situations as the person completes the job rather simply with the circle.
