Royal Family LIVE: 'Real reason' Harry and Charles 'will not meet in UK' | Royal | News

Prince Harry will likely not be meeting with his father, King Charles, during his fourth visit back to the UK next week, and there's a simple reason for it, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex will head back home at the end of the month to attend the WellChild Awards on September 30.

Meanwhile, the King is expected to be in Scotland and attend a special 25th anniversary celebration at the Scottish Parliament with Queen Camilla on September 28.

While the monarch's engagement takes place before Harry's awards, he is expected to stay in Scotland, thus making it unlikely that the two would meet.

The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English told Palace Confidential: "The King and Queen have got a big engagement in Scotland, on Saturday (September 28) they're going to the Scottish Parliament. So a very significant event. Harry's event is on a Monday and while noone's saying quite yet, I've been led to understand that the chances are he [King Charles] will be staying in Scotland, so there could be a change but it would have to be Harry having to go see him and I think that's quite unlikely."
