Heinz and Walkers team up for new mayo - some say it's terrifying | UK | News

Just in time for Halloween, Heinz has concocted a new, frightfully tangy flavour: mayonnaise with the taste of pickled onion crisps. In an innovative collaboration, Heinz and Walkers present the limited edition Heinz [Scarily] Good Monster Munch Pickled Onion Flavour Mayo.

Thiago Rapp, Kraft Heinz's director of taste elevation, declared: "This mayo is the ultimate flavour mash-up that will add a tangy twist to any dish."

This daring blend is a testament to the brand's "dedication to pushing boundaries and exploring new, bold flavours that appeal to modern palates," according to Rapp. Adventuresome foodies can snag a bottle from Heinz's website starting tomorrow, find it at Iceland from Tuesday, and expect it on other supermarket shelves next month.

Priced at £2.40 with retailers given price discretion, this mayo joins Heinz's quirky repertoire including previous versions that tasted like Terry's Chocolate Orange and hot cross buns, plus a Barbie-themed variant.

The intriguing release aligns with the trend among young shoppers hankering for nostalgic snacks, as signaled by rising sales of classic crisps like KP Skips, Smiths Frazzles, and Discos, reports the Mirror.
