Prince William provides touching support to widow of Rob Burrow in new book | Royal | News

The Prince of Wales has provided a message of support to the window of the late rugby league legend Rob Burrow.

Lindsey Burrow, who is mother to their three young children, has inspired the nation through her selfless commitment to her husband throughout his heroic battle with motor neurone disease.

Rob passed away in June, aged just 41. The book - which is titled 'Take Care: A Memoir of Love, Family & Never Giving Up' is set for release on February 27, 2025.

Taking to X, the account @rob7burrow tweeted today: "Take care will be published on the 27 February 2025 and I am happy to be able to share the cover with you. I’m honoured to say that the book features a forward written by HRH Prince William.

"Take care is a memoir of love, family and never giving up. As well as telling our family story, I want it to highlight the work that so many carers in the UK are doing in the hope that it will give readers and families hope to overcome challenges in their own lives."

According to the tweet, 'Take care' is available to pre-order now. William's foreword will be revealed upon the book's release next year.

Following Rob's death earlier this year, the X account for Kensington Palace posted: "A legend of Rugby League, Rob Burrow had a huge heart. He taught us, 'in a world full of adversity, we must dare to dream.'

"Catherine and I send our love to Lindsey, Jackson, Maya and Macy. W."

Back in January, Wiliam paid a visit to the Leeds Headingley Stadium, where Mr Burrow used to play with the Leeds Rhinos, to give him his CBE.

As well meeting Mr Burrow's friend and former teammate Kevin Sinfield, William also got to meet Lindsey and their three children - Macy, Maya and Jackson.

Following her husband's death, Lindsey revealed that she received a cherished personal message from Prince William that she and her family will "treasure forever".

Speaking on Global MND Awareness day, Lindsey said: "The one that really sticks out and is so special to me, was a personal message, as a parent, from his Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. That was really heartwarming, really sincere and that's something, as a family, we will treasure forever."
