Chinese horoscope: 5 zodiac animal signs to have good luck this week

According to Chinese astrology, every year is linked to one of the 12 zodiac animals: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

The significance of these signs goes a level deeper, with each of the animals also linked to one of the elements - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

Together, these form a cycle that repeats every 60 years with the current phase being the Year of the Wood Dragon, spanning from February 10, 2024, to January 28, 2025.

Some zodiac signs may have had a particularly lucky year so far, and this week, five of the animals will strike good fortune.

A Tarot reader, astrologer and medium, Valeria Black, revealed her astrological insights with YourTango. She said: "Between September 9 to 15, 2024, luck and good fortune will be available to five Chinese zodiac signs that take calculated risks and step outside their comfort zones. Ox, Snake, Horse, Rabbit, and Goat will be the luckiest."

Ox

Luck is the superpower of those born in the Year of the Ox, said Valeria. She urged that removing challenging obstacles will bring opportunities to achieve new dreams. However, this luck must be "met halfway".

The astrologer said: "How can it be if you shy away and sabotage yourself? If you feel called to, now's also a good time to know who your true friends are. They will be vital on your path, too." As for lucky tokens, the colours green and blue are significant this week.

Snake

Valeria urged those born in the Year of the Snake to pay close attention to the signs and synchronicities that hint at ways to embrace luck. She said: "If you feel called to, now's also a good time to have a daily meditation habit to be mindful and seize the day when it calls you to."

The colour red will be lucky for the Snake zodiac sign, and they could even find a soulmate with this kind of luck.

Horse

Mischievous luck will find those born in a Year of the Horse, this week, and according to Valeria, the more playful and light-hearted you can be, the easier it will be for this luck to flow into your life.

Whether through interactions with friends, a romantic partner, or even acquaintances, this luck will bring you opportunities, conversations, adventures, and maybe even a few good ideas. The astrologer urged the zodiac sign to wear more yellow, blue, or green and carry charms that have a personal meaning.

Rabbit

The astrologer said: "You have a creative spirit within you that works well when you participate in right-brain creative activities like art, crafts or handiwork. But for others, creativity can expressed through engineering, science, coding, growing plants, or other left-brain activities." She suggested focusing on going all in on ideas to fully engage with luck this week.

Goat

As for those born in a Year of the Goat, the Tarot card reader warned that their luck is closely tied to siblings. She explained that the exact way this "blessing" will present in life is shrouded right now, but it will come as a thrill or pleasant surprise.

Those linked to the Goat zodiac sign should keep an open mind, as this fortunate energy is playful but mysterious.

Valeria explained: "You are also encouraged to dress well so you are not caught off-guard when this luck does find you. The colour blue will be lucky for you."
