Zara Tindall's furious row with steward at Cheltenham Festival in rare outburst | Royal | News

In a rare public display of temper, Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, was once caught on camera in a heated exchange with a steward at the Cheltenham Festival in 2013 as she tried to make her way through the crowds.

The Cheltenham Festival is said to be the pinnacle event of the jump-racing calendar and is a four-day festival that takes place annually in March in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

The stylish royal, now a mother of three, was snapped during the exchange wearing a deep purple pillbox hat and a collared cream coat. As she pointed her finger at the steward, her husband, Mike Tindall, seemed to find his wife's antics slightly amusing.

After the argument, Zara was allowed through, which seemed to quickly improve her mood, according to Gloucestershire Live. The royal was later pictured laughing and chatting with jockey Tony McCoy's wife, Chanelle.

Despite the couple not holding any official royal titles and not receiving any financial help from the Crown, the duo are believed to be worth a staggering £30million as reported in Hello! Magazine.

Through a combination of sporting accolades, endorsement deals, and TV appearances, Mike and Zara have various streams of steady income. Mike Tindall is mainly known for his 17-year stint as a professional England Rugby star and he started playing professionally at the young age of 18 before retiring at 35.

Like her mother, Zara is an equestrian star and competed in the London Olympics in 2012, obtaining a silver medal. Off the back of her sporting success, in 2020, she became a director at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Express.co.uk learned Zara submitted an application to compete at the Wellington International Horse Trials - an event that takes place on August 24 to 26 in Hampshire - meaning she may miss out on King Charles's invite to enjoy private family time at Balmoral Castle later in the month.
