Britain's most adorable dog - how to enter your pooch to be crowned winner

The Express is on a quest to crown the nation's most adorable dog – and you get a say on which dogs can enter.

Whether your four-legged friend is a tiny pup or a grand adult, if you think it's the cutest dog ever, you can now enter your pooch into the contest.

We're keen to see adorable snaps that truly showcase their charm and character, whether they're mischievous, loving, adventurous or sleepy.

Do you have a leggy Greyhound, a long Dachshund, a curly-haired Bichon Frisé, or fluffy Pomeranian?

Perhaps you have a beautiful German Shepherd, a lovable Labrador, or a pretty Cavalier King Charles.

How to participate

Participating is simple and fun. Just complete the survey in this article and upload your best picture of your pooch.

Remember to include some personal details so we can contact you. But be quick, entries won't stay open forever!

How the contest works

Once we've gathered all the submissions, our team will sort through them to compile a shortlist of the top contenders.

These selected dogs will then be showcased in a special gallery where readers can cast their vote for their favourite.

The dog with the most votes will earn the title of the most adorable dog in the country.

With The Kennel Club confirming there are "over 200 breeds of dog recognised in the UK", let alone the mixed breeds, there's a lot to choose from.

As there's such an overwhelming number of pooches up for the crowning glory, could it end up being your dog?

The only way that could be a possibility is if you enter your dog(s) in the nationwide contest.
