A spokesperson for the police force stated: "We are investigating an assault at Reggae Land Festival at The National Bowl. A man was stabbed at about 8.50pm and was taken to hospital, where his condition is described [as] critical. We believe this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public. "We are conducting a thorough investigation; taking witness statements, carrying out forensic examinations and CCTV enquiries. The Reggae Land Festival, held over the weekend, was billed as a "massive celebration of Reggae Music and Caribbean Culture featuring a 100+ strong line up of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and Jungle".
