Cheltenham crash: Four friends killed in horror crash pictured | UK | News

The families of four young men who tragically lost their lives in a devastating crash near Cheltenham have paid heartfelt tributes to their loved ones.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 21, when a black Renault Clio veered off the A436 in Ullenwood and smashed into a tree.

The victims have now been identified as 18-year-old Andrei Tudorov, who was visiting Gloucestershire from Romania, and three 20-year-olds, Lyuben Gogov, Narcis Titianu, and Ioan Toma. Lyuben, a Bulgarian national, and Narcis and Ioan, both Romanian nationals, were living in Gloucester.

Andrei Tudorov's mother, Iolanda, shared a poignant tribute to her son. She said: "This is Andrei, my child full of dreams. He was going to take the Baccalaureate and go to Câmpina, aspiring to become a policeman.

"Andrei had been involved in sports since he was four years old. He was a warm and loving soul, a good brother, an angel who took flight much too soon, leaving behind an ocean of sadness both in his family and among his friends."

Narcis Titianu’s family remembered him as a young man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

"As the youngest of three siblings, Narcis brought boundless love and joy into the lives of his family and friends", they said. "His journey to the UK nearly four years ago was driven by a desire to build a future for himself, a testament to his courage and ambition.

"Narcis was respected and admired in every place he worked, and his bright mind and unwavering determination set him apart. He had a special love for nature and animals, especially cats, and found joy in building his own computer and playing video games with his brother, brother-in-law, and friends."

Ioan Toma's family paid tribute to his joyful and loving nature.

"Ioan was not just a brother; he was the epitome of joy and warmth. His constant smile and infectious laughter could light up the darkest room, and his presence brought happiness to all who knew him. Ioan possessed a unique blend of intelligence and compassion, making him a cherished friend and confidant. His acts of kindness were numerous and selfless, making a profound impact on the lives of those around him. Ioan was a beacon of light in our lives, guiding us with his gentle spirit and loving nature."

Meanwhile the parents of Lyuben Gogov, Krasimira and Borislav, expressed their profound grief.

They said: "Losing a son is one of the hardest losses to endure. You’ll always remain in our thoughts. Thanks for all the memories and joy you’ve given us. May your everlasting smile always remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, son. You’ll be missed."
