Urgent police manhunt after three men break out of mental health hospital | UK | NewsPolice are appealing for assistance in locating two men who absconded from Springfield Hospital in south-west London. An urgent investigation is under way to find the men, and officers are warning the public not to approach them. At around 10:10pm on Friday, 19 July, three men absconded from the hospital run by South West London and St Georges NHS mental Health Trust in Glenburnie Road, Tooting, after breaking a glass door. Met officers detained one man at around 00:45hrs on 20 July at a residential address in south London and returned him to the hospital. The two men outstanding are Adil Maxamed, 20, and Ramon Martin, 31. Both were patients at the hospital under the Mental Health Act. Martin sustained injuries to his arm while breaking the glass door, which require medical attention. At 10:35pm on 19 July, the two men entered Tooting Bec station and boarded a Northern Line train. Enquiries are ongoing to trak their subsequent movements. It is not known whether the two have remained together. Adil Maxamed has links to Kingston. Ramon Martin has links to Battersea. The police investigation to locate and detain the men is led by CID officers based in south-west London, supported by specialist colleagues from across the Met.
