Upgrade your Fire TV Stick to get Sky-style features at lowest-ever price

If you own a Fire TV Stick, there's currently a very cheap way to give it a Sky-style makeover. Amazon's Voice Remote Pro launched back in 2022 with it bringing a number of features that Sky Q, Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers have enjoyed for a while. When it was first announced, those wanting to own the Pro remote needed to stump up over £34 but that cost has been slashed in the latest Prime Day sale. In fact, right now you can pop this channel changer in your online shopping basket for just £22.99 - that's its lowest ever price.

If that price sounds enticing then you'll find this accessory packs plenty of upgrades inside its shell including backlit keys to help you find the buttons when the lights get low. Glowing keys can be found on both Sky Stream and Sky Glass and that's not the only upgrade that similar.

The Remote Pro also copies Sky by featuring an in-built alarm. Should it slip down the side of the sofa and can't be found, you simply need to shout "Alexa, find my remote” and it will start bleeping at you. That hopefully means you'll never face the frustration of a lost remote ever again.

Other upgrades that are exclusive to the Alexa Voice Remote Pro include two customisable buttons which can be switched to help you launch favourite apps, settings or Alexa commands with just one press.

There's even a dedicated headphone button - this offers a new shortcut to the on-screen Bluetooth menu that lets you pair your wireless headphones faster.

Amazon states that it's compatible with the majority of Fire devices with the Fire TV Stick (1st generation) the only device that it won't link up to.

Along with offering that low price on the remote, Amazon has also slashed prices across its entire range of Fire Sticks.

That means you can buy the ultimate Fire TV Stick 4K Max for just £39.99 - was £69.99 - or take delivery of the Fire TV Stick 4K for just £32.99 - was £59.99.

There's even a neat trick - via Topcashback - that lets you grab a new Fire device for under £5. Full details about that offer here.

The only thing to be aware of is that these discounts are exclusive for Prime members as part of Prime Day - that's a subscription plan that costs £8.99 per month. Luckily, that price can be avoided by signing up and getting one month for free.

"We're giving you 30 days of Prime for £8.99 FREE. Unlimited delivery, award-winning TV shows, exclusive deals, and more," Amazon explained on its sign-up page.

If that sounds enticing you can join Prime here - just remember, if you forget to cancel you will be charged £8.99 per month once the freebie ends.
