Prime Video viewers are being advised to keep tissues close at hand as a heart-wrenching new film has just landed on the platform.

The fresh release 'The Map That Leads To You' began  streaming yesterday (August 20) and has already captured audiences who are hailing it as their "new favourite comfort movie."

Helmed by director Lasse Hallström, who previously brought us Dear John, the story centres on Heather, a young woman embarking on a European adventure with her closest friends. But soon, an unexpected encounter with an enigmatic stranger changes everything. The production is based on the beloved novel by JP Monninger.

Having already climbed to become Prime Video's second most-watched film in the UK, the official synopsis reveals: "The film follows Heather, a young woman traveling Europe with friends before starting her perfectly planned life. Audiences will spot some recognisable stars leading the cast, with KJ Apa, renowned for portraying Archie Andrews in Riverdale, taking centre stage. He's joined by Madelyn Cline, known for her roles in Outer Banks and Glass Onion.

Viewers have already begun flooding social media with glowing reviews after diving into the film.
