The M23 in Surrey is closed northbound near the M25 this morning following a crash at 6.45am. National Highways reports that the road will remain closed for several hours with no re-opening time available. The road is closed between J8 (M25) and the A237 (Coulsdon). 

Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service are currently at the scene, and police collision investigations will be ongoing. Drivers are currently being diverted via local routes, and have been warned to re-route or delay their journeys.
