Olympic and world champion Camryn Rogers of Richmond, B.C., won the women's hammer throw at a Diamond League meet in Chorzow, Poland on Saturday.
On her second attempt, Rogers threw 75.39 metres to take the top spot, ahead of Finland's Krista Tervo (72.74) who finished second and Silja Kosonen (72.40) in third.
Reigning Olympic champion and world champion Ethan Katzberg of Nanaimo, B.C. grabbed second place in the men's hammer throw after launching a 79.30 metre throw on his fifth attempt.
Hungary's Bence Halász won the event with a throw of 81.77 metres on his second attempt. After settling for silver behind Katzberg at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Halász recently faced Katzberg in Budapest where he took the title.

Germany's Merlin Hummel finished behind Katzberg in third (79.16).
Both the women's and men's hammer throw events are contested at Diamond League meets but are not part of the series' official program.
After her Olympic debut last summer in Paris, Canada's Savannah Sutherland took to the Diamond League stage for the first time on Saturday. Sutherland finished sixth in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 55:13.
Femke Bol of the Netherlands dominated the race to take the title with a meeting record time of 51.91.
Jamaica's Kishane Thompson held off Olympic Champion, American Noah Lyes to win the men's 100m in a meeting record time of 9.87. Lyles would grab second place (9.90) with American rival Kenneth Bednarek taking third (9.96).

This was a highly anticipated meeting between the two American sprinters since the dramatic race at the 2025 US Championships.

Thompson and Lyles are due to meet again at the Lausanne Diamond League on Wednesday.
