Princess Beatrice's inexpensive lunch is the ultimate "comforting" and "nutritionally balanced" pick-me-up for all those busy afternoons, a food expert has claimed. While Beatrice herself has not revealed her culinary preferences to the public, her sister, Princess Eugenie's birthady tribute post on her 37th birthday last week showed the two together enjoying lunch at a very famous juice and coffee bar.
The place in question, Joe & The Juice, has become viral for its sandwiches and juices. Beatrice and Eugenie were seen seemingly enjoying the juice bar's popular JOE's Club sandwich, which costs Β£9.70.
According to the company, there are "no bells and whistles" for the popular sandwich, just "great taste time after time".
It includes five simple ingredients - chicken, avocado, tomato, vegan pesto and its popular crunch sandwich bread.
Now, a food expert has praised the princess for her lunch choice and explained why the "comforting" option "nails it".
Former MasterChef contestant and PR expert, Renae Smith, told Hello! magazine: "In a world where we've all lived through one 'once-in-a-lifetime' event after another, people are craving comfort, whether they realise it or not," Renae says.
"The Joe's Club nails that balance: simple, fresh, and loaded with flavour - yet surprisingly familiar and comforting."
Ms Smith praised the use of lean chicken over processed meats, adding: "The vegan pesto [is] a clever hit of flavour with herbs and antioxidants (and without unnecessary dairy) and fresh tomato keeps it bright.
"Ultimately, itβs not just a sandwich, itβs a healthy flavour punch wrapped in nostalgia.
"Joe & the Juice have tapped into that sweet spot in hospitality - keeping it classic and comforting, considering the health factor (so you can eat it every day) whilst also embracing its viral appeal."
