Alexander Isak's Newcastle residence is up for rent, signalling the Swedish striker's intent to part ways with the club, having already expressed his unwillingness to play for them again. Despite Liverpool's keen interest and a rejected initial offer, Isak remains on the outskirts of Newcastle's first team and was notably absent from a recent family day event for the players. Following this exclusion, his north-eastern home was listed for rent.
The Times suggests that his eagerness to depart is so great that he has vacated his Ponteland property, which is now seeking new occupants. Isak had resided there since his transfer from Real Sociedad to Newcastle in 2022, a span of three years. The property first hit the market when Isak travelled to Spain for personal training.
The house was listed for £6,950 per month on the same day he departed for Spain, where he trained with his former San Sebastian-based club. Although it was subsequently withdrawn from the market, it is now once again advertised through a local letting agency.
Earlier this month, Isak and his representatives ceased contract negotiations with Newcastle and have consistently declined any discussions about remaining at the club, further emphasising his wish to leave. However, the St James' Park management's firm stance presents a hurdle for the forward.
Liverpool have been informed that Newcastle are not open to selling, following the rejection of a £110 million bid, leading to the Reds stepping back from further discussions. Liverpool have made it clear they won't increase their offer unless there's a change in attitude at St James' Park.
It is believed that even if Newcastle sign a new striker, they will maintain their firm stance on Isak's future. Manager Howe, aware of the club hierarchy's position, has been tasked with managing the situation with the player.
However, Isak is reportedly 'adamant' that he has played his last game for the club. The Swedish star, who netted a career-high 27 goals last season, has no intention of rejoining Newcastle's squad, even if no transfer agreement is reached before the September 1 deadline.
