If you enjoy a horror film, this one is a must-watch, say avid fans. The 1990 film is known for its terrifying story and fans say it’s an underrated watch.

Discussing the most underrated horrors, film-fans shared their thoughts on a Reddit forum. There’s one film which stood out to one person and it’s one you might not have seen yet. In the film, on the fifteenth anniversary of the exorcism that claimed Father Damien Karras’ life, Police Lieutenant Kinderman’s world is once again shattered when a boy is found decapitated and savagely crucified.

The Exorcist III was one person’s top pick, they posted on Reddit: “The Exorcist part 3. A truly outstanding horror in my opinion. One of the all time greats. Some of the best scenes of any horror film ever made are in this masterpiece.

“But it never seems to get mentioned much or receive the acknowledgement or praise it deserves. The scene in the prison cell had me absolutely scared out of my wits (not even embarrassed to admit that).

“The acting in that whole scene from all three actors was top tier. Very well filmed and the pace of the film was just right.

“Nothing is rushed, but it also doesn't drag on and on either. Plenty of dialog but with enough action /drama. I love the build up of suspense. The best movie in the whole franchise for me.”

Others commented their favourites underrated horrors to be Wrong Turn, Cemetery Man, Bubba Hotep, Monster Man, Ravenous, The Mist and You’re Next.

The Exorcist III is set 15 years after the groundbreaking original, it is often said to have the best jump-scare in cinema history, according to Flicks.

Starring George C. Scott, Ed Flanders and Brad Dourif, the film is one which has gained a top spot on many film-lover’s lists.

If you haven't seen this film, it’s one you can’t miss out on and it’s worth a watch to decide if you agree with these horror-fans.
