After World War 2, the victorious Allies held the Nuremberg trials against members of the defeated Nazi Germany for their war crimes.
During the conflict, the evil regime invaded many European countries, leading to the deaths of millions, in part due to their crimes against humanity.
Most notorious of all was the Holocaust, the systematic murder of millions of Jews and other minority groups.
The highest-ranking Nazi and a close associate of Adolf Hitler captured after the war was Hermann Göring, Supreme Commander of the Air Force.
And now Russell Crowe stars as him in the first trailer for the new film Nuremberg.
Based on the book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist by Jack El-Hai, the film focuses on American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, played by Rami Malek. It was his job to determine whether the prisoners were fit to stand trial for their war crimes. During his interviews with Göring, he found himself in a “battle of wits” with Hitler’s right-hand man. Written and directed by James Vanderbilt, the World War 2 drama co-stars Leo Woodall, Michael Shannon, Richard E Grant, Colin Hanks and John Slattery.
Nuremberg releases in UK cinemas on November 14, 2025 and will premiere on Sky Cinema in January 2026.
