Manchester United new signing Bryan Mbeumo has given his blessing for Ollie Watkins to join him at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have already had an approach turned down by Aston Villa, who value their talisman in the region of £60million.

But Mbeumo, who played alongside Watkins at Brentford, would relish the prospect of teaming up once again.

“We had Ollie, who I got to know over time. I think he's really complete [as a player]," Mbeumo said on the Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE podcast.

“He can drop with the set or go in behind and I think this is really good for me or for a winger, because you can use his space to fit in there. And he can combine as well. So I think it's really good.

“I think it's really important as well to have a really good relationship off the pitch with your team-mates. After, when my English got better, I could have a good chat with him.”
