If you want to upgrade your broadband package and pick up a TV subscription at the same time, Virgin Media is currently running discounted offers that include Sky Sports channels for a lower price than usual that could be worth considering.

Right now, Virgin is offering its Bigger Combo bundle + Sports package for £54.99 per month in what it says is among its “lowest every monthly prices” for these types of services. It pairs a zippy fibre broadband connection with a TV connection to scores of channels including several Sky Sports channels.

This bundle includes 516Mbps speed broadband plus more than 200 TV channels including these Sky Sports channels: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports PL, Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports NFL, Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Mix.

You’ll also get full access to all the channels you’d expect from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, plus digital favourites such as Sky Showcase, History, Channel 5, Sky News, Premier Sports and CNN.

But it’s the access to Sky Sports that is eye-catching considering you’ll be able to tune in to a summer of sport all beamed into your home via your new fast broadband connection.

Virgin will set you up with a Virgin Media Wi-Fi Hub router with an average download speed of 516Mbps, which the firm says will work well for homes with 6-8 people and more than 10 connected devices. To top it off, you’ll also be granted access to O2 Priority, the reward scheme that gives you access to gig ticket presales, offers, rewards and prize draws.

Virgin Media merged with O2 in 2021, so certain Virgin Media products are able to include O2 perks.

This package is a 24-month contract with no setup fee, and Virgin notes there will be an annual price rise applied, so it’ll be £58.49 per month from your April 2026 bill and then £61.99 per month from your April 2027 bill. Make sure you read all the terms and conditions, and work out whether or not this is a contract you will be able to afford.

While the £54.99 bundle is the cheapest on offer to currently include Sky Sports, you can opt to pay more for a bundle that includes more.

Virgin’s Biggest Combo bundle is an extra tenner per month at £64.99, but includes Sky Cinema HD on top of the usual raft of channels and Sky Sports, plus a Netflix standard with ads subscription. Virgin also claims this is the “lowest ever monthly price” for this package.

This is also for 24 months and includes annual price rises, but getting Sky Cinema HD and Netflix for an additional £10 per month is a solid add-on. You’ll get the same 516Mbps broadband connection with this bundle.

Virgin Media has not indicated when these two deals will end.
