Shoppers have recommended a versatile makeup balm from Jones Road for its ability to make skin look glowing and hydrated and, in some cases, even take years off. The beauty brand, founded by Bobbi Brown, specialises in makeup that gives a barely there look.
The Miracle Balm, one of the brand's best-sellers, is a versatile product that can be used on all areas of the face and is said to create a "no makeup" makeup look. The product is described by Jones Road as a "light-reflecting balm" that aims to give a fresh, healthy glow to skin. It can be used as a highlighter, blush, bronzer, or lip product.
The balm can also be worn under make-up or layered over foundation to add depth, shine, and colour to skin. However, it's not recommended for use on the eyes or eyelids.
Some shoppers have also said it doubles up as a moisturising balm. One review said: "It is moisturising...People compliment me on my skin often, and it truly looks like I have no makeup on."
The balm can also fill in and even reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. One shopper said: "I love the glow that it gives my face. As I’ve aged, the other products I’ve used highlight the creases in my face. This seems to give my face a smoother, glowing look. This balm is perfect for my 73-year-old complexion. My skin hasn’t looked this good since I was 60!"
Another shopper added that she uses it "all over" her body for a sun-kissed look. "It's like having a slight tan," she added.
According to Jones Road, the au natural shade is the most versatile. This is a clear highlighting balm that adds a glow and is suitable for any skin tone. However, the balm also comes in a range of 12 other colours.
Colours can also be mixed and matched to create custom skin tints, and they can be applied either using your fingers or with a brush.
However, one shopper said they felt the balm was not "worth the hype". In a review, they wrote: "I think I just expected too much with this product after reading and seeing so much about it. It's good - but not worth the hype. I have used many other 'balms' that are much better. Also, the pot packaging and sticking your finger in it is not something I would love in the long term. Feels unhygienic."
