The Nintendo Switch 2 was released on June 5, but getting hold of the popular console has not been easy. Many UK retailers were sold out within hours, and restocks have been unreliable over the past few weeks.

But as of this morning, Monday July 28, you may be in luck. At the time of writing, Argos has stock online of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World Console Bundle, with both click and collect, and delivery options showing as in stock across the country.

If you've been waiting patiently then now could be the time to put your money down. The bundle is up at the full retail price of £429.99, but that's likely to remain the price for some time given the Switch 2 is not even two months old. You're only likely to encounter discounts come Black Friday in November time.

The long awaited sequel to the original Nintendo Switch console released in 2017 takes after its predecessor by offering gamers a two-in-one device that can either be played as a large screened handheld or plugged into the included dock to beam the action to a TV.

In this mode, the Joy Con controllers detach from the console and snap (now magnetically) onto a controller for a more traditional TV gaming experience.

This bundle also comes with the superb Mario Kart World game, which includes 96 courses including a new open world mode that lets you explore at will, as well as tracks from beloved Mario Kart games of the past.

You can race friends in person and online, or opt for Nintendo’s online subscription to take on players from around the world.

Express.co.uk gaming editor Liam Martin called Mario Kart World “a colourful, chaotic and hugely entertaining racing game” in his review, though said it’s best when the action sticks to the tried and true racing of the series rather than the open world aspect.

“The open-world element has lots of potential, but needs more content to make it a true selling point. We want more mini-games, more unlockables, the ability to create your own courses, quick races, and a more detailed map that highlights what you've unlocked and what else can be found.”

Argos only has stock of this console and game bundle, with stock not showing nationwide for the console on its own, so this appears the best way to get your hands on the Switch 2 this week.
